Job summary

DBMSC Steel FZCO in Dubai seeks an experienced IT Infrastructure professional to maintain uptime, manage VMware and Cisco environments, and support SAP and security systems across group locations.

The role requires strong troubleshooting, project management, and hands-on skills with cloud and on-prem backups, disaster recovery, and network design. UAE experience is a plus; on-site work is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Industry certifications preferred (e.g., VMware, Microsoft, Cisco – CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA Security+, ITIL, etc.).
• Proficiency in database, Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, and backup technologies.
• Proficiency in managing VMware or other virtualization platforms.
• Hands-on experience with network design, LAN/WAN management, router/firewall configuration, and network tuning.
• Experience in handling cloud platforms and its infrastructure like AWS / Azure.
• Project management capabilities with a focus on delivery on time.
• Handling security audits like ISO – 27001 / VA / PT and policy document preparation.
• Experience with cybersecurity standards and tools (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, End point security solutions, NAC / SOC solutions etc.).
• Working knowledge of SAP infrastructure will be an added advantage.
• IT Asset management and book keeping knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Ensure 100% uptime of group networks, servers, security solutions, backups with continuous monitoring and maintenance.
• Maintain virtualization environments (preferably VMware), cloud-based and onsite backup solutions, disaster recovery systems, router configurations, and Wi‑Fi management.
• Provide frontline support by responding promptly to equipment-related or ICT issues via calls or emails.
• Administer and maintain all critical ICT infrastructure including servers, Cisco routers, VMware environments, and firewalls.
• Maintain back-end infrastructure for SAP and other business-critical software.
• Document incidents involving hardware/software failures, repairs, installations, and configuration changes.
• Ensure optimal performance of network hardware such as routers, switches, hubs, and UPS units.
• Implement and monitor cybersecurity protocols and compliance processes.
• Oversee and maintain security tools such as firewalls, antivirus software, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
• Manage the IT security audits and its documentation.
• Manage CCTV and biometric systems in alignment with Head Office directives.
• Support IT infrastructure requirements across all group locations.
• Provide operational and project-based IT support as directed by Management.
• Awareness of SAP processes will be an added advantage.
