Job summary

Nair Systems is seeking an experienced IST/Switch Application Support Specialist in the UAE to own production support for payment switching, manage active/active dual-site configurations, and ensure high availability.

You will handle real‑time transaction monitoring, incident resolution (L2/L3), RCA, and on‑call support, while applying ISO 8583 expertise, HSM key operations, and PCI DSS standards to maintain secure, reliable EFT processing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 4+ years of progressive professional experience in payment switching support, application support, or banking IT.
• Strong, demonstrable hands‑on professional experience with the IST/Switch (FIS) payment switching platform in production banking.
• Comprehensive working knowledge of IST/Switch Active/Active setup with dual‑site implementation architectures.
• Deep practical proficiency in ISO 8583 messaging, EFT transaction lifecycles, authorization, clearing, and settlement.
• Practical familiarity with card‑scheme interfaces and certifications (Visa, Mastercard, mada, UAESWITCH, GCCNet).
• Solid working knowledge of HSM, key management, EMV, PCI DSS, and enterprise payment security standards.
• Proficient Unix/Linux operating system skills, shell scripting, SQL querying, and advanced log analysis capabilities.
• Exceptional analytical, troubleshooting, debugging, and problem‑solving capabilities under high‑pressure transaction conditions.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills with strong stakeholder coordination and collaboration abilities.
• Mandatory legal work eligibility and physical availability for full‑time operations in the UAE (Joining: 2 weeks to 1 month).

Responsibilities

• Monitor real‑time transaction flows and ensure high availability across production IST/Switch (FIS) payment environments.
• Investigate, diagnose, and resolve L2/L3 incidents relating to transaction failures, authorization declines, and interface breaks.
• Conduct rigorous root‑cause analysis (RCA) and drive problem management to prevent recurrence of technical faults.
• Provide responsive on‑call or shift‑based support and participate actively in major‑incident bridge calls.
• Execute daily health checks, batch monitoring, end‑of‑day settlement, and reconciliation processes.
• Manage Hardware Security Module (HSM) key operations, certificate renewals, and card‑scheme mandate updates.
• Maintain, tune, and configure ISO 8583 message handling, routing tables, BIN/institution setups, and stand‑in parameters.
• Support card product launches, scheme mandates, interface integrations, and switch upgrades across testing and production.
