China harbour engineering company LLC seeks an experienced MEP procurement professional in the UAE. The role focuses on handling inquiries, preparing BOQs, and managing supplier RFQs while aligning with UAE trade practices and VAT requirements.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of MEP procurement experience in the Gulf region, strong English communication, and familiarity with telecom/control systems, HVAC or plumbing sectors.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in MEP procurement/inquiry with BOQ experience.
• Fluent business English; Arabic is a plus.
• Familiar with UAE/Gulf markets and VAT requirements.
• Experience preparing RFQs and price analyses.

Job description

1. Language: Fluent in business English (reading and writing) — essential; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.

2. Industry Experience: 3+ years of experience in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) procurement/inquiry, including preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and managing supplier inquiries. Familiarity with the UAE and broader Gulf markets is required. Expertise in mechanical processes, telecommunications/control systems, HVAC, power supply/lighting, or plumbing/drainage systems is preferred.

Skills

1. Skills: Highly proficient in Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, BOQ cost estimation). Capable of preparing Requests for Quotations (RFQs) and comparative price analyses. Knowledgeable regarding local UAE trade practices, customs regulations, and VAT requirements.

2. Additional Advantages: Experience with project bidding and tendering in the Gulf region; an established network of local suppliers; and familiarity with ERP or procurement management systems.
