Job summary

Confidential Company is seeking an experienced Purchase Engineer - MEP in the UAE to manage end-to-end procurement of MEP materials and services for construction projects. The role requires strong knowledge of MEP products, suppliers, local market rates, and UAE procurement procedures.

Key responsibilities include sourcing, evaluating quotations, negotiating terms, issuing POs, and coordinating with project teams to ensure timely material availability and cost control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 710 years UAE experience in MEP procurement.
• Knowledge of HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, ELV systems.
• Familiarity with UAE suppliers and manufacturers.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Proficient in MS Office and ERP/Procurement software.

Responsibilities

• Source and procure MEP materials and services per project.
• Obtain quotations and conduct evaluations.
• Negotiate prices, terms, delivery, and contracts.
• Prepare POs and track deliveries.
• Coordinate with PMs, engineers, stores and suppliers.
• Maintain supplier and subcontractor databases.
• Track procurement schedules to meet deadlines.
• Prepare procurement reports and cost comparisons.
• Ensure compliance with company policies.
• Monitor inventory and avoid shortages.

Purchase Engineer - MEP

We are looking for an experienced strong Purchase Engineer - MEP strong to manage the procurement of Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing MEP materials and services for construction projects The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of MEP products suppliers local market rates and procurement procedures within the UAE construction industry

Key Responsibilities

• Source and procure MEP materials equipment and services according to project requirements
• Obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors and conduct technical and commercial evaluations
• Negotiate prices payment terms delivery schedules and contracts with vendors
• Prepare and issue Purchase Orders POs and follow up on deliveries
• Coordinate with project managers engineers stores and suppliers to ensure timely material availability
• Maintain approved supplier and subcontractor databases
• Analyze market trends and identify cost-saving opportunities
• Ensure all purchased materials comply with project specifications and client requirements
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with stores to avoid material shortages
• Track procurement schedules to meet project deadlines
• Resolve supply chain issues and delivery delays
• Prepare procurement reports and cost comparisons for management review
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 7-10 years of UAE experience in MEP procurement within construction or contracting companies.
• Strong knowledge of MEP materials such as HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, and ELV systems.
• Familiarity with UAE suppliers and manufacturers.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
• Proficient in MS Office and ERP/Procurement software.
• Valid UAE driving license is an advantage.
