Job summary

Confidential is seeking a Mechanical Procurement Engineer in Dubai to source, evaluate, and procure mechanical, electrical, and plumbing materials and subcontract packages in line with project specs, budget, and timelines. You will coordinate with project, design, and site teams to ensure timely delivery and cost optimization.

The ideal candidate has a Mechanical Engineering degree and 3–5 years of procurement experience in mechanical/construction, with strong knowledge of UAE MEP market, BOQ,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–5 years of procurement experience in Mechanical/Construction.
• Strong knowledge of MEP materials, suppliers, and UAE market.
• Familiarity with BOQ, contracts, and technical submittals.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.

Responsibilities

• Review Mechanical drawings, BOQs, and specifications for procurement requirements.
• Source suppliers and subcontractors, obtain quotations, and conduct technical/commercial evaluations.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
• Prepare purchase orders and subcontract agreements.
• Ensure materials comply with project specifications and consultant approvals.
• Track deliveries and coordinate with site teams to avoid delays.
• Maintain procurement logs and vendor databases.
• Support cost-saving initiatives and value engineering.
• Monitor market trends, lead times, and supplier performance.
