Job summary

A luxury home renovation company in Dubai is seeking an experienced Interior Designer & Architect for contract-based opportunities. The role involves creating bespoke designs, managing high-end renovation projects, and ensuring compliance with local regulations. Ideal candidates should have over 5 years of experience and proficiency in design software. This position offers competitive project compensation and the chance to work with a dynamic team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in luxury interior design and architecture.
• Freelance license and/or permit required.
• Experience with Dubai’s interior design and renovation industry is an advantage.
• Freelance license and/or permit required.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D Max, V-Ray, Revit, or similar software.
• Strong knowledge of construction drawings, materials, and finishing techniques.
• Ability to create high-quality renders and presentations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and present creative design concepts tailored to each client's needs.
• Ensure all designs meet Dubai’s building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Work closely with clients, contractors, and project managers to bring designs to life.
• Ensure all designs reflect current trends, timeless aesthetics, and functional living solutions.
• Conduct site analysis and space planning to maximize functionality and flow.
• Develop architectural layouts, floor plans, and structural modifications when required.
• Ensure all designs meet Dubai’s building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Work closely with clients, contractors, and project managers to bring designs to life.
• Provide design expertise on a per-project basis, ensuring alignment with project goals.
• Collaborate remotely or on-site as required by project scope.
• Ensure smooth handover of design plans, including drawings, specifications, and material selections.
• Understand client preferences and translate them into practical, beautiful spaces.
• Present design proposals confidently and adapt designs based on client feedback.
• Collaborate with suppliers, artisans, and craftsmen to source unique, high-quality elements.

Role Overview

We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented Interior Designer & Architect to collaborate with us on a contractual basis. The ideal candidate will have a passion for luxury residential design, a keen eye for aesthetics, and strong technical expertise in architectural planning and interior styling. You will be responsible for designing, planning, and executing high-end renovation projects, ensuring that every space is both visually stunning and functionally optimized.

Key Responsibilities

Interior Design & Concept Development

• Develop and present creative design concepts tailored to each client\'s needs and preferences.
• Create mood boards, sketches, and 3D visualizations to communicate design ideas effectively.
• Select premium materials, finishes, and furnishings to align with the luxury renovation vision.
• Ensure all designs reflect current trends, timeless aesthetics, and functional living solutions.

Architectural Planning & Space Optimization

• Conduct site analysis and space planning to maximize functionality and flow.
• Develop architectural layouts, floor plans, and structural modifications when required.
• Ensure all designs meet Dubai’s building codes, regulations, and safety standards.

Project Coordination & Execution

• Work closely with clients, contractors, and project managers to bring designs to life.

• Creative & Artistic Vision: Passion for luxury aesthetics, color palettes, textures, and design trends.
• Project Management: Ability to lead design aspects independently, working within budgets and timelines.
• Communication & Presentation: Strong interpersonal skills to engage with clients and present ideas persuasively.
• Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to styling, finishes, and final execution.
• UAE Market Knowledge: Experience with Dubai’s interior design and renovation industry is an advantage.
