Job summary

Jak Consultancy in Dubai is seeking a Senior Interior Designer to lead the design process for high-end interior fit-out projects from concept through to completion.

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Interior Designer on behalf of a leading Design & Build company in Dubai. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced designer with a strong creative vision and proven experience delivering high-quality interior fit-out projects from concept through to completion. The successful candidate will lead the design process, mentor junior designers, and work closely with clients and project teams to ensure exceptional project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of interior design concepts for commercial fit-out projects from inception to completion.
• Prepare and present creative concepts, mood boards, material palettes, 3D visuals, and client presentations.
• Oversee space planning, design development, technical detailing, and production of construction documentation.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines, budgets, and quality standards are achieved.
• Act as the primary design contact for clients, leading design meetings and presenting proposals with confidence.
• Coordinate closely with technical, MEP, joinery, procurement, and site teams to ensure seamless project execution.
• Review drawings and design documentation to ensure accuracy, compliance, and buildability.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, resolve design issues, and maintain design intent throughout construction.
• Select finishes, FF&E, lighting, and materials in line with project requirements and budgets.
• Mentor and support junior and mid-weight designers, providing guidance and design direction.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, materials, and innovative design solutions to enhance project outcomes.

Requirements

• 8-12 years of interior design experience, with significant experience in a Design & Build or Interior Fit-Out environment.
• Proven track record of delivering commercial workplace projects.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating concept design, technical detailing, and successful project delivery.
• Experience managing projects from concept through to handover.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and 3D visualisation software (Revit is highly desirable).
• Excellent knowledge of construction detailing, materials, joinery, and fit-out processes.
• Strong leadership, project management, and client-facing experience.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• UAE experience and knowledge of local authority regulations are preferred.
