Job summary

AECOM Middle East Ltd is seeking a Quantity Surveyor - Infrastructure Commercial Control in Dubai to lead cost management, measurement, and contractual reporting for major roads and infrastructure projects. You will manage project costs, oversee change control, and support commercial decision-making across active construction and delivery phases.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of quantity surveying experience in infrastructure with strong cost control and English proficiency.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a comparable discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of professional quantity surveying experience within infrastructure projects.
• Strong background in roads and major civil infrastructure delivery.
• Detailed knowledge of quantity measurement, cost management, budgeting, and contract administration.

Responsibilities

• Manage quantity surveying activities for roads, transportation, and wider infrastructure works.
• Review project measurements, quantities, cost information, and supporting commercial documentation for accuracy.
• Analyze technical and survey information that affects measurement, valuation, and project cost reporting.
• Support preparation and maintenance of project budgets, forecasts, cost reports, and financial control records.
• Monitor variations and changes to determine potential commercial and contractual implications.
• Assist with change control procedures and maintain clear records of approved, pending, and disputed adjustments.
• Apply established cost and contract management techniques throughout project delivery.
• Review project information from engineering, survey, and construction teams to support reliable quantity assessment.
• Verify measurements, calculations, and supporting data before incorporating them into commercial reports.
• Produce clear reports, schedules, summaries, and cost-related documentation for project stakeholders.
• Use cost management software and digital systems to maintain organized commercial information.
• Contribute to commercial team leadership and coordination on major infrastructure assignments.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, consultants, and internal departments to resolve commercial matters.
• Support assessment of payment quantities and other measurable project deliverables where required.
• Maintain confidentiality when handling contractual, financial, and commercially sensitive project data.
• Organize competing assignments and establish priorities to meet reporting and project deadlines.
• Present commercial findings and recommendations clearly to project leadership and stakeholders.
• Identify cost risks, inconsistencies, and emerging issues that could affect project financial performance.
