Job summary

Accor’s Fairmont Ajman is seeking an Order Taker for its in-room dining team. You will answer calls, record guest orders in the POS, confirm details and delivery times, and upsell daily specials while maintaining brand standards.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or hospitality training, strong English communication, and the ability to multitask under pressure. Nights, weekends, and public holidays shifts are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or hospitality training preferred.
• Previous in-room dining or call center experience is an advantage.
• Excellent telephone etiquette and communication skills.
• Fluency in English; other languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Answer in-room dining calls promptly using proper telephone etiquette and brand standards.
• Accurately record guest orders in the POS system and ensure all details are correct (preferences allergies special requests).
• Provide detailed knowledge of menu items ingredients preparation methods and promotions.
• Upsell menu items and promote daily specials when appropriate.
• Coordinate with the kitchen and service team to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders.
• Confirm order details and estimated delivery times with guests.
• Handle guest inquiries special requests and complaints professionally.
• Ensure billing accuracy and proper posting of charges to guest accounts.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the order-taking area.
• Participate in shift briefings and training sessions.
• Ensure compliance with hygiene safety and hotel policies.
