Role Description

The Import Specialist – Home Appliances is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This role is responsible for managing end-to-end import processes for home appliances, including coordinating with international suppliers, logistics providers, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and compliant deliveries. Daily tasks include preparing and reviewing import documentation, monitoring shipment status, managing customs clearance requirements, and aligning with internal inventory and sales teams on product availability. The Import Specialist will track costs, support negotiations with service providers, and maintain accurate records to meet regulatory and company standards. The role also involves resolving import-related issues, supporting continuous process improvements, and providing responsive service to internal and external partners.

Qualifications

• Strong import and import–export operations skills, with experience in managing documentation, compliance, and shipment coordination.
• Knowledge of export and international trade practices, regulations, and Incoterms, particularly within the home appliances or consumer goods sector.
• Customer service skills to effectively communicate with suppliers, logistics partners, and internal teams, and to resolve issues promptly.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills for handling multiple shipments, schedules, and regulatory requirements simultaneously.
• Proficiency with MS Office and ERP or supply chain systems; experience with customs clearance platforms is an advantage.
• Ability to work on-site in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and collaborate in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
• Relevant diploma or bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
• Prior experience in import/export, logistics, or supply chain within the GCC region is beneficial; fluency in English required, additional languages are an asset.
