Job summary

Remotedxb seeks a network technician to diagnose IT incidents and provide daily technical support. You will install, test, and maintain ICT equipment, manage inventories, and ensure security and backups according to head office directives.

The role requires strong IT knowledge, organizational rigor, and the ability to work in isolated environments. English proficiency is preferred and CCNA/CompTIA certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Networking, or a related discipline.
• Two or more years of professional experience as a network technician or in a similar role.
• Fundamental knowledge of IT and networking.
• Strong organizational skills and rigor in following established procedures.
• Effective written communication for reports.
• Ability to work in isolated environments and team-oriented.
• Preferred: CompTIA+ or Cisco CCNA certifications.
• Proficiency in English is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve hardware and software incidents related to IT systems.
• Provide high-quality daily technical support to users.
• Install, test, maintain, and service IT equipment.
• Administer and regularly update the ICT equipment inventory.
• Ensure system security, backup management, and software/antivirus updates per Head Office directives.
• Ensure availability and performance of internet connections and network infrastructures (Wi‑Fi, VSAT, VHF/HF, etc.).
• Train and support users on basic IT tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet).
• Produce weekly and monthly ICT activity reports.
• Comply with internal policies, SOPs, and hierarchical instructions.
