Job summary

McDermott International, Ltd in Dubai seeks an HSES Technician to support the HSES Advisors and Supervisors by evaluating solutions from established HSES Management Systems and ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.

You will assist in incident investigations, implement activity plans, and coach teams to follow safety procedures on onshore and offshore operations; a Diploma or equivalent certification and 2–3 years of relevant experience are required.

Responsibilities

• Conversant with local and international HSES laws, codes, and regulations.
• Serve as a resource to develop and administer a proactive prevention program for incidents.
• Provide technical assistance to ensure compliance with applicable international, federal, state, and company environmental, safety, and health regulations.
• Implement the HSES activity plan and ensure activities are completed as scheduled.
• Assist with incident investigations and compilation of reports.
• Assist with medical evacuations and respond to emergencies as required.
• Regularly inspect the work areas to identify unsafe acts or conditions.
• Conduct compliance evaluations of equipment, structures, and work in progress to ensure that regulatory environmental, safety, and health standards of the company and all applicable codes are followed.
• Observe work groups and provide guidance and coaching to personnel to perform work safely.
• Assist in the delivery and observation of toolbox talks and Job Safety Analyses (JSA's).
• Observe the condition of plant and equipment and report deficiencies.

• Proven experience promoting teamwork, coaching, and guiding others
