Job summary

Bureau Veritas | Marine & Offshore is seeking an HSE Officer in Abu Dhabi to lead on-site safety, ensure compliance with HSE procedures, and drive incident investigations. The role requires NEBOSH/OSHA training, 2+ years in safety, and strong MS Office skills.

You will coordinate training, manage PPE, and promote a proactive safety culture across projects, reporting to the HSE manager and supporting continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent is required.
• NEBOSH or OSHA or equivalent HSE training is required.
• First aid certification and emergency response training are required.
• Excellent English communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure awareness of all matters relating to the HSE system and its effective implementation.
• Identify and define HSE training needs for all employees working on the projects.
• Provide feedback and suggestions for continuous improvement in the HSE management system.
• Conduct investigations of incidents, accidents, and hazards, and document findings in reports.
• Follow up on corrective actions from inspections, ensuring compliance with HSE requirements and standards.
• Oversee the issue and monitoring of PPE for employees on-site, ensuring the correct PPE is selected based on identified risks.
