Job summary

Black & Grey HR is seeking an HSE Officer – Offshore to join our client's offshore operations team in Abu Dhabi on a 90/30 rotation. You will oversee HSE activities at project sites, ensuring compliance with company, client and project standards, and promoting safe offshore practices.

The role requires a Diploma in Fire & Safety Engineering, NEBOSH/IOSH certification, ADNOC HSE Passport, ISO 14001/45001 auditor credentials and 6–7 years of HSE experience, including offshore.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Fire & Safety Engineering or an equivalent qualification required.
• NEBOSH or IOSH Diploma or an equivalent internationally recognized HSE certification.
• ADNOC HSE Passport holder.
• ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 Auditor Certification required.
• 6–7 years of HSE experience, including at least 2 years offshore in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of HSE standards at national, international and client levels.
• Experience in offshore, marine, oil & gas, energy or related industries is highly desirable.
• Fluent in written and spoken English; Arabic would be an advantage.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, planning, organizing and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong report-writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement company, client, and project HSE policies offshore.
• Conduct regular HSE inspections of work areas, equipment and practices; report deviations.
• Conduct HSE inductions, toolbox talks and safety briefings.
• Support emergency response activities including medical evacuations and drills.
• Coordinate with offshore teams for emergency preparedness and response.
• Investigate accidents, incidents and near-misses; assist with corrective actions.
• Monitor lifesaving, firefighting and emergency equipment maintenance.
• Attend and facilitate offshore HSE meetings with clients and operations.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly HSE reports and incident documentation.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with HSE standards.

The role will be responsible for managing HSE activities at offshore project sites, ensuring compliance with company, client, and project HSE requirements. You will work closely with offshore operations teams to promote safe working practices, conduct inspections and toolbox talks, support emergency response, investigate incidents, and maintain accurate HSE reporting.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• - Diploma in Fire & Safety Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• - NEBOSH / IOSH Diploma or an equivalent internationally recognized HSE certification.

• - ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 Auditor Certification .
• - 6–7 years of HSE experience , including a minimum of 2 years of offshore experience in a similar role.
• - Strong knowledge of national, international, and client-specific HSE standards.
• - Experience in offshore, marine, oil & gas, energy, or related industries is highly desirable.
• - Strong knowledge of HSE inspections, risk assessments, incident investigation, emergency response, and reporting.
• - Fluent in written and spoken English . Arabic would be an advantage.
