Job summary

S K OVERSEAS HR CONSULTANCY seeks an HSE Engineer to develop and implement safety protocols for pipeline, EPC and oil & gas projects. You will conduct risk assessments, lead incident investigations, and deliver HSE training to site teams, ensuring compliance with HSE standards across stages.

The ideal candidate has 10–12 years in HSE within construction/fabrication/installation, 5+ years as an approved HSE lead, Gulf experience preferred, especially ADNOC exposure.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Engineering (Regular) or bachelor’s degree in relevant Science from an institution authorized to grant degrees.
• NEBOSH IGC before 2021 and any other HSE certifications preferred.
• Lead auditor ISO 45001/ISO 14001 or equivalent.
• Incident Investigation techniques should be demonstrated.

Job description

Develop and implement robust safety protocols and procedures tailored to project-specific risks ensuring compliance with national and international HSE standards. Conduct thorough site inspections and risk assessments identifying potential hazards and proactively implementing control measures to prevent accidents and occupational illnesses. Investigate all incidents, near misses, and accidents performing root cause analysis and developing corrective and preventive actions to enhance safety performance. Deliver engaging HSE training programs to all site personnel fostering a strong safety culture and ensuring understanding of emergency procedures and safe work practices.

POSITION: HSE ENGINEER

Education Qualification

• Diploma in Engineering (Regular) or bachelor’s degree in relevant Science (from an institution of higher learning authorized to grant academic degrees in the country of issue)

Professional / Technical Qualifications

• NEBOSH IGC before 2021
• Any other HSE certifications
• Additional HSE Trainings / Certifications will be added advantage.

Work Experience

• Minimum 10 to 12 years’ experience in HSE in construction, fabrication, installation and/or commissioning projects / operations in the oil & gas or petrochemical industries.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have relevant experience in Pipeline, EPC, Oil & Gas, Flowline, Brownfield, Upstream Facilities, or Wellhead projects. Preference will be given to candidates with prior Gulf experience, especially those who have worked on ADNOC projects.

Clean Shave facial policy is applicable.

Candidates with Metro Line, Building Line, or Road Infrastructure experience are NOT eligible. No Building construction experience except for road safety coordinators.

Age Criteria: Maximum age limit is 49 years. For managerial positions, this may be extended up to 50 years if the candidate has significant Gulf experience. A minimum of 5 years of Gulf experience in the relevant field is mandatory.
