Job summary

Star Services is seeking an experienced HSE Engineer for offshore operations (MUB). Responsible for implementing HSSE policies, incident investigations, and risk assessments on site, with a focus on EMS/HSEMS and regulatory compliance. Offshore exposure and NEBOSH/IOSH certification are preferred.

Role demands strong leadership, training skills, and the ability to coordinate with project teams to ensure safe completion of tasks in a high-risk environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Science (Chemical, Mechanical, Environmental preferred).
  • NEBOSH IGC / IOSH Accredited Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Promote HSSE policies and drive protection within responsibility area.
  • Stay updated with new HSSE legislation and standards.
  • Prepare Task Risk Assessments with operation team.
  • Support safety management programs and conduct plant inspections.
  • Ensure HSSE material inventory reports are up to date.
  • Participate in internal and external HSSE audits and reviews.

Qualification (minimum)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Science (Chemical, Mechanical, Environmental preferred),
  • NEBOSH IGC / IOSH Accredited Certification.
Experience (minimum)
  • Minimum 10years of HSE experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Proven experience in Environmental Management Systems (EMS/HSEMS), environmental compliance, environmental audits, environmental risk assessments, incident investigation, and oil spill response.
  • Experience in offshore oil & gas facilities will be a distinct advantage.
Job Description & Responsibilities
  • Practice and promote Health, Safety, Security and Environment policies of Company and to ensure the devel opment and progression of Health, Safety, Security and Environment protection within the sphere of responsibility of this job description.
  • Keep up to date with new legislation on Heal th, Safety, Security and Environment standards.
  • Participate in preparing the Task Risk Assessment with operation team.
  • Part icipates in the implementation of the safety management programs and conducts Plant inspections to identify Hazards/ risks, suggest control measures/ corrective action needs.
  • Keep up to date with new legislation on Heal th, Safety, Security and Environment standards.
  • Ensure the report of inventory of HSSE materials in store.
  • Participate in yearly internal Audits and any external audits of HSEMS.
  • Coordinate with Projects Coordinators ( Security System)
  • Conduct HSSE Awareness training on site specific activity like confined space, fall protection, etc.
  • Ensure the HSSE objective and Target are achived.
  • Prepare Weekly/ Monthly and other reports, Inspections, HSSE Campaign,and other HSSE activities.
  • Ensure timely logging of all HSSE activities as per set standards in order to facilitate availability of historical data for future referencing purpose.
  • Report to the Manager/ HSE Manager/ HSSE supervisor/ and Senior HSE Engineer confers with the latter on critical and strategic issues.
  • Monitor of contractor staff and their work and thereby ensure accident free completion of tasks as per required Quality /HSE standars.
  • Recommend improvements to environmental procedures, controls and management systems.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable local and international environmental legislation, standards and industry best practices.

  • Expert knowledge of all HSSE and other relevent Safety regulations and standards.
  • Good knowledge of local and international regulations and best practices on HSE.
  • Expert knowledge of personal protective Equipment(PPE) requirements and all OH & S and other relevant safety regulations and standards.
  • Excellent incident investigation skills.
  • Sound training and presentation skills.
  • Team leadership skills.

  • Driving license in UAE.
