Job summary

Arc in Abu Dhabi is seeking a driven and commercially minded Business Development Manager to launch HR Tech in the Middle East. You will identify and develop new commercial opportunities, build relationships with senior HR and technology decision-makers, and drive revenue through exhibition, sponsorship and partnerships.

Reporting to the Director and Portfolio Director, you will create a robust pipeline, collaborate with marketing and operations, and help shape the event proposition for the UAE

Qualifications

• Proven experience in B2B business development and exhibition sales.
• Track record of achieving or exceeding revenue targets.
• Ability to develop a market and pipeline from scratch.
• Experience selling to senior stakeholders and decision-makers.
• Strong relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Consultative sales approach to translate client challenges into revenue.
• Experience using CRM for opportunities, activity, forecasting and performance.

Responsibilities

• Generate revenue through exhibition space, sponsorship packages and partnerships.
• Identify and target new business opportunities in HR tech, employee experience, AI, and workplace solutions.
• Build and manage a robust pipeline of exhibitors, sponsors and partners.
• Proactively engage via phone, email, LinkedIn, video meetings and in-person meetings.
• Develop relationships with senior decision-makers across HR, People, Tech, Procurements and leadership.
• Understand clients' objectives and tailor event solutions for strong ROI.
• Develop business in local, regional, and international markets looking to expand in the Middle East.
• Build long-term relationships to maximise retention and future revenue.
