Job summary

The Lana in Dubai is seeking a dedicated Houseman to support the Housekeeping team within a luxury five-star setting. You will handle linen duties, guest requests, and on-floor support to ensure the highest standards of service.

We value attention to detail, guest focus, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments. Prior luxury hotel experience and good English are preferred; training will be provided to learn our standards.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Sort and count soiled linen, tag and dispatch to laundry to ensure best guest experience.
• Deliver guest request items and manage special requests (extra beds, cots, pillows).
• Count and deliver clean linen to floors and allocated locations.
• Provide assistance for laundry, uniform room and floors as required.
• Assist on floors with stripping rooms, delivering items, cleaning areas and stocking linen.
• Ensure all calls and requests are actioned and completed per standards.
• Manage linen tracking, shortages, damaged items and their reporting.
• Coordinate with pool, gym, and spa teams to handle linens.
• Keep paperwork up to date and prepare monthly linen reports.
• Complete inventories of linen, amenities, and supplies; order as needed.
• Highlight deficits in linen not returned and any damaged items.
• Ensure Lost & Found is logged and stored per policy.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of corridors and pantry areas.

What You'll Do

• You will be responsible for sorting and counting soiled linen, tagging, and dispatching to the laundry to ensure our guests receive nothing but the best experience.
• You will be responsible for delivering guest request items, placing and removing special requests such as extra beds, baby cots, special pillows and other requests to ensure our guests receive nothing but the best experience.
• You will count clean linen and deliver to allocated location on floors.
• Provide assistance for laundry, uniform room and floors as required.
• Provide assistance on the floors as necessary, for stripping rooms linen, delivering items to rooms, cleaning areas, placing linen etc.
• Ensure that all calls and requests are actioned and completed as per standards.
• Issue the clean F&B linen and update tracking of any shortages, damaged etc.
• Liaise with the pool, gym, and spa teams to issue their clean linen and collect dirty for the outside laundry.
• Ensure all paperwork is up to date, and monthly reports are prepared for all linen sent out.
• Complete inventories of linen, housekeeping amenities, guest request items, uniforms, chemicals, OSE items, and update on any shortages, damaged and stained linen, and order supplies as necessary.
• Highlight any deficits in linen not returned from the laundry and any stained or discarded items.
• Ensure follow up on all outstanding linen to be delivered.
• Keep all corridors and pantry areas clean and tidy and stocked correctly.
• Ensure all Lost & Found is handed over, logged, and stored as per policy and procedures.
