Job summary

The Lana - Dorchester Collection in Dubai is hiring a Houseman. You will be part of our esteemed housekeeping team, learning through our award-winning learning academy and delivering exceptional guest experiences.

You will sort, count and dispatch linen, fulfill guest requests, and maintain inventories, while coordinating with pool, gym, and spa teams. This role offers a path to leadership and a chance to belong to a legendary hospitality family.

Responsibilities

• Sort and count soiled linen and dispatch to the laundry.
• Deliver guest request items and manage special requests (extra beds, cots, pillows).
• Count and distribute clean linen, support laundry, uniform room and floors.
• Maintain linen inventories, update shortages and damages, and order supplies.
• Liaise with pool, gym, and spa teams to issue/collect linen.
• Ensure paperwork is up to date and monthly reports are prepared.
• Keep corridors and pantry areas clean and stocked.
• Handle Lost & Found according to policy.

You’ll love what you do and take pride in delighting our guests:

You will be responsible for sorting and counting soiled linen, tagging, and dispatching to the laundry to ensure our guests receive nothing but the best experience.

You will be responsible for delivering guest request items, placing and removing special requests such as extra beds, baby cots, special pillows and other requests to ensure our guests receive nothing but the best experience.

You will count clean linen and deliver to allocated location on floors. Provide assistance for laundry, uniform room and floors as required. Provide assistance on the floors as necessary, for stripping rooms linen, delivering items to rooms, cleaning areas, placing linen etc.

You will ensure that all calls and requests are actioned and completed as per standards. Issue the clean F&B linen and update tracking of any shortages, damaged etc. Liaise with the pool, gym, and spa teams to issue their clean linen and collect dirty for the outside laundry. Ensure all paperwork is up to date, and monthly reports are prepared for all linen sent out. Complete inventories of linen, housekeeping amenities, guest request items, uniforms, chemicals, OSE items, and update on any shortages, damaged and stained linen, and order supplies as necessary. Highlight any deficits in linen not returned from the laundry and any stained or discarded items. Ensure follow up on all outstanding linen to be delivered. Keep all corridors and pantry areas clean and tidy and stocked correctly. Ensure all Lost & Found is handed over, logged, and stored as per policy and procedures.
