The role requires 3–5 years in luxury hospitality with at least 2 years in an Assistant Manager capacity, plus a hospitality qualification.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of progressive housekeeping experience in luxury hotels.
• 2 years in an Assistant Manager role in a hotel setting.
• Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management preferred.
• Experience managing diverse teams and third-party providers.

Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and people-focused Assistant Housekeeping Manager to support the daily operations of our flagship hotel in Dubai. This role is pivotal in delivering immaculate guest rooms and public spaces that reflect the highest standards of luxury hospitality, while leading and developing a high-performing housekeeping team.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Executive Housekeeper in overseeing all housekeeping operations, including guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house spaces, and laundry services
• Conduct daily inspections and quality audits to ensure cleanliness, presentation, and maintenance standards consistently exceed brand expectations
• Lead, coach, and schedule a diverse team of supervisors, attendants, and outsourced partners, fostering accountability and continuous improvement
• Manage inventory control for linens, amenities, cleaning supplies, and equipment, optimizing cost efficiency without compromising guest experience
• Partner with Front Office, Engineering, and Guest Relations to coordinate room turnover, VIP preparations, and rapid resolution of guest feedback
• Drive compliance with health, safety, and sustainability protocols, including chemical handling, waste management, and energy conservation initiatives
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and training programs to build bench strength and uphold service excellence across all shifts
• Analyze operational KPIs (room turnaround time, inspection scores, guest satisfaction, labor productivity) and implement data-led corrective actions
• Champion a culture of recognition, well-being, and professional development within the housekeeping department

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 3–5 years of progressive housekeeping experience in a luxury or upper-upscale hotel environment, with at least 2 years in an Assistant Manager capacity
• Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Operations, or related field preferred
• Proven track record of maintaining exceptional cleanliness standards in high-occupancy, fast-paced settings
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing multicultural teams and third-party service providers
• Proficiency in property management systems (e.g., Opera, HotSOS) and Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and guest-service orientation
• Knowledge of UAE labor regulations, HACCP, and green hospitality practices is an advantage
• Fluency in English required; additional languages are highly valued
