Job summary

Caviar Careers is seeking an experienced Housekeeping Manager for a luxury resort in Sharjah. The role requires leading a large housekeeping team and upholding European luxury standards.

The successful candidate will have a hotel management education, 10+ years in hospitality, strong English communication, budgeting experience, and a track record of driving service excellence and operational efficiencies in high-volume environments.

Qualifications

• Graduate in Hotel Management or related field.
• EU and UK Passport preferred.
• Fluent English; Arabic an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the full housekeeping department.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation to luxury standards.
• Conduct daily inspections and walkthroughs to ensure luxury standards.
• Oversee staffing, training, scheduling, and performance management.
• Develop and implement housekeeping systems, procedures, and service standards.
• Manage departmental budget, cost control, and forecasting.
• Control inventory of linen, uniforms, and cleaning supplies.
• Coordinate procurement and supplier management with relevant departments.
• Ensure maintenance issues are reported and followed up efficiently.
• Oversee pest control and deep cleaning programmes.
• Implement on-the-job training and staff development.
• Prepare operational reports for senior management.
• Resolve operational issues and complaints promptly.
• Drive efficiency improvements and operational best practices.

Purpose of the Position

We are seeking an experienced Housekeeping Manager to oversee all housekeeping operations within a prestigious environment. The role requires a strong leader who can ensure exceptional standards while effectively managing and developing a large housekeeping team.

Qualifications

• Graduate in Hotel Management or related field
• EU and UK Passport preferred

Experience And Skills

• Strong leadership and people management skills
• 10 Years experience in hospitality industry, out of which 3 years in similar role (high volume, large team)
• Experience in European luxury hospitality standards preferred
• Excellent organisational and multitasking ability
• High attention to detail and service standards
• Strong communication skills in English (and Arabic an advantage)
• Budgeting and cost control experience
• Ability to implement operational efficiencies and drive change
• Proven experience operating within highly structured luxury environments with formal service standards
