Job Description
The Royal Stables Private Members Club in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Housekeeping Manager to oversee exceptional cleanliness, presentation, and housekeeping standards across the club’s facilities. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Lead and manage the housekeeping team across all club facilities.
- Develop and maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, presentation, and service.
- Plan daily housekeeping schedules, task allocations, shift coverage, and priorities.
- Inspect bedrooms, lounges, washrooms, offices, public areas, guest facilities, and back-of-house spaces.
- Ensure all areas are maintained to luxury hospitality standards.
- Coordinate with operations, hospitality, membership, events, equestrian, and maintenance teams.
- Manage cleaning supplies, equipment, linen, uniforms, amenities, and stock levels.
- Monitor inventory and coordinate replenishment orders with approved suppliers.
- Establish and maintain housekeeping procedures, checklists, cleaning schedules, and inspection standards.
- Train, coach, and supervise housekeeping colleagues.
- Monitor team performance, attendance, grooming, conduct, and productivity.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, performance reviews, and development of housekeeping staff.
- Respond promptly to member, guest, and management requests.
- Coordinate housekeeping requirements for VIP visits, private events, functions, and special occasions.
- Ensure safe handling, storage, and use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Report maintenance issues, damage, hazards, lost property, and safety concerns promptly.
- Maintain accurate housekeeping records, inspection reports, schedules, inventories, and incident logs.
- Monitor hygiene, health, safety, pest control, waste management, and environmental standards.
- Manage housekeeping budgets and support cost control without compromising quality.
- Ensure all housekeeping services reflect the Royal Stables’ luxury positioning and brand standards.
- Maintain confidentiality when handling member, guest, staff, and operational information.
- Drive continuous improvement in housekeeping processes, efficiency, and guest experience.
- Perform other housekeeping, facilities, and operational duties as required.
Desired Skill & Expertise
- 4+ years of experience in housekeeping, preferably in luxury hotels, resorts, private clubs, or hospitality environments.
- Proven experience supervising or managing a housekeeping team.
- Strong knowledge of luxury cleaning, hygiene, sanitation, and presentation standards.
- Excellent organisational, planning, and time-management skills.
- Strong leadership, coaching, delegation, and team-management abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Experience managing housekeeping supplies, inventory, budgets, and suppliers.
- Knowledge of health, safety, chemical handling, and workplace hygiene procedures.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Professional, reliable, discreet, and service-oriented.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience supporting VIP guests, private events, or high-end hospitality is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of the UAE market and local cultural expectations is an advantage.
- Fluency in English is required; Arabic is highly desirable.
