Job summary

Minor Hotels seeks an Assistant Executive Housekeeper for NH Collection Dubai The Palm to support the overall Housekeeping operations. You will help maintain exceptional cleanliness, presentation, guest satisfaction and efficiency across guest rooms, suites and public areas.

You will lead, coach and coordinate a team, ensuring timely room readiness and strict adherence to brand standards while collaborating with Front Office and Engineering.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.
• 3–5 years of Housekeeping experience in upscale/luxury hotels.
• Strong leadership, team management and organizational skills.
• Good knowledge of housekeeping operations, room inspections, inventory and cost control.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent command of English; other languages are a plus.
• Previous UAE/Middle East hospitality experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist Executive Housekeeper in daily housekeeping operations and ensure brand standards.
• Supervise and inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces for cleanliness.
• Coordinate daily manpower planning, rosters, and team deployment per occupancy.
• Coach and develop housekeeping team to sustain high performance and service quality.
• Collaborate with Front Office and Engineering for timely room readiness and maintenance resolution.
• Respond promptly to guest requests, feedback and housekeeping concerns.
• Monitor linen, uniforms, supplies, and equipment to control inventory and costs.
• Support budgeting, productivity tracking, and cost-saving initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, health, safety, hygiene and security
• Assist with deep-cleaning, preventive maintenance and room inspections.
• Promote sustainability and responsible use of water, energy and chemicals.
• Support department administration and training; step in as acting head when needed.

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Assistant Executive Housekeeper to support the overall Housekeeping operations at NH Collection Dubai The Palm. The successful candidate will assist the Executive Housekeeper in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, presentation, guest satisfaction and operational efficiency throughout guest rooms, apartments, public areas and back-of-house areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Executive Housekeeper in managing the daily Housekeeping operations and ensuring consistent brand and service standards.
• Supervise and inspect guest rooms, apartments, public areas and back-of-house areas to ensure cleanliness and presentation standards are maintained.
• Coordinate daily manpower planning, duty rosters and team deployment according to occupancy and operational requirements.
• Supervise, coach and develop Housekeeping team members to maintain high performance and service standards.
• Coordinate closely with Front Office and Engineering to ensure timely room readiness and prompt resolution of maintenance issues.
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests, feedback and Housekeeping-related concerns.
• Monitor linen, uniforms, guest supplies, cleaning materials and equipment to maintain appropriate inventory levels and cost control.
• Support departmental budgeting, productivity monitoring and cost-saving initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with hotel SOPs, health and safety, hygiene and security requirements.
• Support deep-cleaning, preventive maintenance and room inspection programs.
• Promote sustainability initiatives and responsible use of water, energy, chemicals and guest supplies.
• Assist the Executive Housekeeper with team performance, training, engagement and departmental administration.
• Assume responsibility for the Housekeeping Department in the absence of the Executive Housekeeper.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum 3–5 years of Housekeeping experience within an upscale or luxury hotel environment.
• Strong leadership, team management and organizational skills.
• Good knowledge of Housekeeping operations, room inspections, inventory and cost control.
