Job summary

Westin Hotels & Resorts in Dubai Marina seeks a hands-on Engineer/Maintenance technician to respond to guest repair requests, perform preventive maintenance on building systems, and ensure safe operation of all hotel equipment.

You will inspect and repair electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry elements, follow safety procedures including Lockout/Tagout, and coordinate with shifts to keep services running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or G.E.D equivalent.
• Related Work Experience: Some experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation and painting.
• Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance a plus.
• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Respond and attend to guest repair requests.
• Communicate with guests to resolve maintenance issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools and building systems.
• Visual inspection and operation of shut-offs; carry equipment.
• Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts as needed.
• Follow safety and security policies; report hazards and injuries.
• Display knowledge in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry.
• Test, troubleshoot and repair equipment and fixtures.
• Move/lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds; climb stairs and ladders.
