Overview
Hotel Bus Driver – Staff Transportation in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Responsible for safely transporting hotel colleagues between staff accommodation and the property, maintaining scheduled transport services, inspecting and caring for the assigned vehicle, completing trip records, following local traffic regulations, and providing courteous support to employees.
Salary & Working Hours
Estimated monthly salary: 3,000 – 4,500 AED (subject to confirmation by employer). Full‑time position.
Key Responsibilities
- Transport hotel colleagues between staff accommodation and the hotel according to approved schedules.
- Provide safe, punctual, friendly and courteous service throughout every journey.
- Follow assigned routes while adapting responsibly to traffic conditions, road closures and operational requirements.
- Maintain strong knowledge of Dubai roads, landmarks, routes and transport regulations across Dubai and the wider UAE.
- Observe all local traffic laws, speed limits, parking controls and company driving procedures.
- Inspect the assigned vehicle before and after each trip – check tyres, lights, mirrors, brakes, fuel, fluid levels, safety equipment and general condition.
- Keep the bus clean, presentable and suitable for employee transportation.
- Arrange fueling and monitor fuel usage according to hotel procedures.
- Ensure periodic servicing and scheduled vehicle maintenance are completed and reported.
- Carry out minor vehicle maintenance tasks when safe and authorised.
- Report defects, breakdowns, damage or safety concerns immediately to the supervisor.
- Maintain accurate transport logbooks, trip records, mileage details and vehicle inspection reports.
- Prepare accident and incident reports when required.
- Report daily transport developments and operational issues to the Transportation Team Leader or Employee Services Manager.
- Respond professionally to passenger concerns and resolve routine complaints respectfully.
- Escalate serious transport, safety or employee issues through the correct reporting channel.
- Ensure transportation services consistently meet hotel quality and safety standards.
- Coordinate transport requirements with Housekeeping, Engineering, Food and Beverage and other hotel departments.
- Support additional hotel transport duties, events, operational tasks or management requests when not assigned to regular routes.
- Attend scheduled training, safety briefings and departmental meetings.
- Maintain professional grooming, a positive attitude and respectful conduct.
- Follow the hotel’s Operational Standards Manual, policies, procedures and code of conduct.
- Maintain awareness of hotel facilities, daily activities and relevant employee service information.
Ideal Profile
- High school certificate, diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Valid UAE driving licence suitable for operating the assigned staff transportation vehicle.
- 1–3 years of UAE driving experience or transport experience within a four‑star or five‑star hotel.
- Strong knowledge of Dubai roads, landmarks, traffic patterns and local driving regulations.
- Safe driving record with a responsible and defensive approach.
- Ability to conduct routine vehicle inspections and identify basic maintenance issues.
- Understanding of vehicle servicing, fueling, trip reporting and incident documentation.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills when assisting colleagues and supervisors.
- Ability to handle passenger concerns calmly and respectfully.
- Punctual, dependable and able to follow detailed transport schedules.
- Professional appearance with a friendly and service‑oriented attitude.
- Ability to work independently while cooperating with the transportation team and hotel departments.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, early mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays.
- Capacity to remain calm and make safe decisions during traffic delays, breakdowns or unexpected situations.
