Job summary

Paramount Midtown Hotel is seeking a confident and polished Hostess to welcome guests with a warm, Paramount-style hospitality and manage reservations with precision.

The Guest Experience Ambassador will seat guests, coordinate the reservation book, support the F&B team and ensure a seamless, high-quality dining journey in a luxury hotel environment. English fluency and a high school diploma are essential.

Experience in a luxury hotel environment and Micros knowledge are preferred.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of Food & Beverage experience.
• At least 2 years in a similar Hostess role within a 5-star international hotel environment.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
• Knowledge of Micros is preferred.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

As the face of the outlet, you'll be the first point of contact for our guests — creating a warm, polished and effortless welcome while keeping the restaurant operation running smoothly behind the scenes.

Job Purpose

You'll be our Guest Experience Ambassador, welcoming and seating guests, managing reservations and supporting the Food & Beverage team to deliver service that is as seamless as it is memorable.

What You'll Be Doing

• Prepare the restaurant for opening and ensure the outlet is ready for showtime.

• Ensure every guest receives attentive, personalised and high-quality service.
• Handle walk-in guests, waiting guests and reservations with confidence and professionalism.
• Explain buffet arrangements and provide guests with any assistance they may need.
• Answer telephone calls professionally, manage reservations and provide information about the restaurant and hotel services.
• Anticipate guest needs and respond flexibly to special requests.
• Bid farewell to every guest warmly and invite them to return.
• Maintain a clean, organised and immaculate hostess stand throughout the shift.
• Support the F&B service team with additional operational tasks whenever required.
• Work closely with colleagues across F&B and the Kitchen to ensure a smooth guest journey.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is confident, polished, organised and naturally welcoming — someone who understands that hospitality starts before the guest even takes their seat.

You should have:

• 2–3 years of Food & Beverage experience.
• At least 2 years in a similar Hostess role within a 5-star international hotel environment.
• Previous experience in a restaurant within a luxury hotel environment.
• Experience working with multicultural teams and international guests.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
• A warm, friendly and positive personality.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• The ability to work with speed and efficiency while maintaining service standards.
• A High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Micros is preferred.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

Nice to have: Hotel School qualification, up-selling training, HACCP certification or WSET Level 1.
