Job summary

Dorchester Hotel Ltd. in Dubai is looking for a passionate Host Supervisor to lead the host/security team, ensuring exceptional service and safety protocols are met. The role involves supervising daily operations, conducting inspections, and training team members to uphold Dorchester standards.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in luxury hospitality, excellent leadership skills, and strong understanding of emergency procedures. Additional perks include private medical insurance, yearly flight allowance, and company accommodation.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Security Supervisor or similar role in the luxury hospitality industry is preferred.
• Strong understanding of luxury residential operations and emergency procedures.
• Excellent communication skills with a customer service ethic.

What you'll do

• You will be responsible for supervising the daily activities of the host/security team to ensure all operational and safety procedures are always followed.
• Maintain a strong visible presence across the property while ensuring guests and residents receive exceptional service.
• Coordinate incident response procedures, including emergencies, accidents, fire alarms and evacuation protocols.
• Monitor security systems, CCTV operations and access control procedures to maintain the safety of the property.
• Support investigations, incident reporting and conflict resolution professional and confidentially
• Work closely with Duty Mangers and operational departments to minimize risks and ensure smooth day to day operations.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential hazards or security concerns.
• Ensure compliance with local laws, health & safety regulations and company policies always.
• Train, motivate and mentor team members to uphold Dorchester Collection standards and deliver exceptional service.
• Maintain accurate records, logs and reports related to incidents, shift activities and operational matters.
• Perform any additional duties assigned by management.

What you'll bring

• You’ll bring your unique personality and passion to the role and the team.
• Previous experience as a Security Supervisor, Host Supervisor or similar role within luxury hospitality industry is preferred.
• Strong understanding of luxury residential operations, emergency procedures and guest service excellence.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Ability to manage incidents professionally while maintaining a high level of discretion and confidentiality.
• SIRA certification or equivalent security qualification is an advantage.
• Proficient in report writing and basic computer systems.
• Communication is what keeps our department running perfectly. You have great communication skills with a strong customer service ethic.
• English is the primary language used in our hotel. You can comfortably communicate in this language. Additional languages are highly valued.
