Job summary

iCademy Middle East is seeking a High School Math Learning Coach to provide face-to-face support at the Dubai Knowledge Hub. You will work with students individually and in small groups to strengthen mathematical understanding, problem solving, and computational fluency in alignment with teacher expectations.

This role focuses on guiding students toward independent, accountable learning while collaborating with teachers, Academic Advisors, parents, and school leadership to keep learners engaged

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics or Education.
• Valid UAE teaching qualification.
• Minimum 3 years of experience teaching, mentoring, tutoring or supporting students in Mathematics at the high school level.
• 2–3 years of AP Math experience.
• Strong knowledge of High School Mathematics.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working with students individually and in small groups.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, teachers and school leadership.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficiency with educational learning platforms, technology-enhanced instruction and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide face-to-face Mathematics support to high school students individually and in small groups.
• Help students develop mathematical reasoning, problem-solving, analytical thinking, and computational fluency.
• Reinforce teacher instruction and clarify mathematical concepts when required.
• Guide students through assignments, projects, assessments, and exam preparation.
• Encourage students to seek support and become independent learners.
• Monitor and record student attendance daily and track engagement and completion.
• Identify students behind and implement timely interventions.
• Follow up with students regarding missing work and deadlines.
• Support students in setting goals and taking ownership of learning.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and interventions.
• Build positive relationships and encourage active participation in live classes and events.
• Celebrate student achievements and progress; promote resilience and a growth mindset.
• Differentiate support according to student needs and ability levels.
• Guide students toward learning resources and support strategies.
• Assist students in overcoming barriers to learning and developing confidence.
• Collaborate with teachers and Academic Advisors regarding student needs.
• Help students manage workload, deadlines, and time-management strategies.

Position Overview

The High School Math Learning Coach provides face-to-face academic support and guidance to students attending the iCademy Learning Hub. Working closely with students individually and in small groups, the Learning Coach supports student understanding, engagement, organization, and progress in Mathematics.

The role focuses on helping students access the curriculum, strengthen mathematical understanding, develop problem-solving skills, and achieve academic success while promoting independence, accountability, and confidence. The Learning Coach works collaboratively with teachers, Academic Advisors, parents, and school leadership to ensure students remain engaged and on track.

The Learning Coach does not replace the classroom teacher and is not responsible for delivering the curriculum. Instead, the role provides targeted academic support, clarification of concepts, reinforcement of learning, and structured guidance aligned to teacher expectations and learning objectives.

Key Responsibilities

1.Student Support and Guidance

• Provide face-to-face Mathematics support to students individually and in small groups.

Role Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics or Education with specialization in Mathematics
• Valid teaching qualification recognized in the UAE
• Minimum 3 years of experience teaching, mentoring, tutoring or supporting students in Mathematics at the high school level
• 2 – 3 years of AP Math experience
