Job summary

Qatar Navigation Q.P.S.C. is seeking a Warehouse Associate to execute day-to-day activities in the warehouse. You will follow instructions from the Warehouse In charge and tally clerks, handle containers, and ensure cargo is tracked and stored safely.

The role requires experience with RF terminals and barcode scanning, and working knowledge of English and Hindi. Good safety practices and teamwork are essential for success in this position.

Communication

Internal Communication: Warehouse In charge, Tally Clerks, Operators

Purpose: To execute the day to day activities at the Warehouse

External Communication: None

Purpose: N/A

Occupational Health & Safety and Environment

Accountability: Are accountable for their acts and omissions.

Responsibility: To follow agreed safe systems of work; to follow training and instructions; and to report accidents, incidents and near misses.

Authority: To stop work if they think the work is unsafe.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Take work instructions from Tally Clerks, Warehouse In charge.
• Un-stuff and stuff containers and other vehicles with team provided.
• Fill in tally sheet, track barcodes if required.
• Ensure that allotted team handles cargo with care and report any damages or shortages observed to the respective Tally Clerk.
• Participate in value addition jobs carried out at the warehouse.
• Observe safety rules and use uniform and safety shoes provided.
• Keep work place clean at all times; shut all doors, shut off all lights, fans when not required.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
• Follow specified systems, processes and procedures, implemented in the workplace, to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and other requirements/standards
• Work safely at all times, protecting the health and safety of everyone in the workplace
