Job summary

Confidential Company in Dubai is seeking an experienced Warehouse Receiver and Packer to manage inbound shipments, verify contents, and ensure proper labeling and storage. You will operate MHE and maintain clean, organized stores areas in compliance with HSE guidelines.

The role requires forklift certification,experience with warehouse management systems, and ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision to meet stock accuracy and timely material availability.

Qualifications

• High school Leaving Certificate or extensive experience in a similar field.
• Experience with Stores or Logistics environment.
• Ability to work under pressure and with minimum supervision.
• Forklift license is required.
• Ability to use a warehouse management system.
• Ability to use barcode scanner/PDA devices.
• Proficient in English communication.

Responsibilities

• Receive shipments and sign paperwork upon receipt and place the cargo only in the designated receiving area.
• Operate Forklift, pallet stacker and other MHE according to HSE instructions and park them in designated areas.
• Unload packages from incoming trucks.
• Inspect contents to ensure they are undamaged.
• Verify packages according to purchase order or invoices.
• Unpack and verify integrity of incoming cargo by checking for physical damage and ensure availability of relevant documents according to incoming inspection checklist.
• Inspect purchased parts, assemblies and materials for conformance to specifications.
• Verify quantity and part number of received items against procurement data and other specifications to ensure completeness and accuracy of order.
• Perform the receipt of material on a FIFO basis or based on any priority set by the supervisor or dept. manager.
• When applicable, move materials to quarantine and inform purchaser/warehouse supervisor on non-conforming materials.
• Upon receipt, label/barcode and place materials in system allocated locations.
• Ensure all parts are stored in appropriate and accurately labelled packages, locations are properly labelled and maintained, kept clean and tidy.
• Ensure access to stores is restricted to authorized personnel only.
• Maintain stock control and efficient storage conditions for all company and customer owned inventory stored in storage areas.
• Archive all relevant receiving documents both in hard and soft copies as per the standard receiving procedures.
• Provide regular warehouse/store information and performance reports.
• Perform all Efacs transactions related to receiving, stock relocation, issuing of materials to works order etc.
• Manage inventory levels and provide information on reordering points based on aging of materials.
• Ensure all pathways and evacuation routes are free from obstacles.
• Maintain general housekeeping of all areas of warehouse both inside and outside the area including back yards.
• Perform back up for warehouse picker and packer.
