Job summary

Tanqeeb, UAE-based events company, seeks a Head of Projects - Events to lead planning, governance, and delivery of client and internal projects across a portfolio of large-scale events and experiences.

You will lead a team of Project Managers and Project Executives, ensuring projects meet high standards of quality, creativity, operational excellence, budgets, and timelines while maximizing client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in project management with leadership responsibilities.
• Experience in events, experiential, entertainment, tourism, hospitality or similar environments.
• Proven track record delivering complex, high-value or large-scale projects.
• Strong communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Experience establishing project governance, systems and processes.
• UAE or GCC experience highly preferred.

• Lead planning and delivery of multiple large-scale events from concept to execution.

Our client is a well-established UAE-based events and entertainment company delivering a diverse portfolio of large-scale events, festivals, sports events, corporate functions, and public-facing projects across the region.

As Head of Projects - Events, you will take overall responsibility for the planning, governance, and successful delivery of client and internal projects.

You will lead a team of Project Managers and Project Executives, ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standards of quality, creativity, operational excellence, budget, timelines and client satisfaction.

The role will be instrumental in strengthening project governance, implementing scalable processes and developing a high-performance project management culture.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the planning and delivery of multiple large-scale projects from concept through execution. Oversee project scope, timelines, budgets, resources, risks, and overall delivery performance. Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Project Managers and project professionals. Establish and improve project management processes, governance, SOPs and reporting standards. Work closely with senior leadership, clients and internal teams to ensure successful project outcomes. Identify potential delivery risks and drive timely solutions and corrective actions. Maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships throughout the project lifecycle. Drive continuous improvement, operational efficiency and consistency across the project portfolio.

The Ideal Candidate

10+ years of experience in project management, with significant leadership responsibility. Strong background in events, experiential, entertainment, tourism, hospitality, real estate, destination development or a similar environment. Proven experience managing complex, high-value or large-scale projects. Strong people leadership and stakeholder management capabilities. Commercially aware, highly organised and comfortable managing multiple priorities. Strong communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills. Experience establishing project governance, systems and processes. UAE or GCC experience is highly preferred.
