Finstreet Capital is establishing a new Fund Management vertical, regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA) in the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM). The funds will be investing in public market securities with daily/near daily NAV publications and subscriptions/redemptions.
We are looking for an experienced Head of Operations to build and lead the operational backbone of this vertical from the ground up- spanning fund operations, fund accounting, daily NAV oversight, daily liquidity management, tokenization and on-chain settlement operations, investor servicing and service-provider governance. This is a hands-on, build-out mandate for someone who has directly run the operations of a funds business and can extend that discipline into a tokenized, blockchain-based operating model. The role will work closely with Investment Management, Risk, Compliance, Finance, Legal, Technology and external fund service providers to launch and scale the fund business.
Key Responsibilities
Fund Operations & Daily Liquidity Management
- Lead end-to-end operations of the tokenized public markets fund, including overseeing Fund Admin, Custodian, and other service providers and coordinating with the fund management team
- Manage daily NAV calculation, pricing and validation with the fund administrator, and oversee subscriptions, redemptions and on-chain token issuance/burning.
Tokenization & Digital Asset Operations
- Act as operational lead for the fund's tokenization infrastructure, working with the blockchain/technology platform provider and digital asset custodian.
- Establish controls and implement governance over token minting/burning, wallet whitelisting, on-chain/off-chain reconciliation and safekeeping of digital assets.
- Oversee Fund Admin on fund accounting (NAV, accruals, valuations, distributions) and review reconciliations, ensuring timely resolution of breaks.
- Coordinate with Finance, auditors and service providers on reporting; ensure accurate, timely management and board reporting.
Service Provider & Stakeholder Management
- Select, onboard and manage fund administrators, digital asset custodians, transfer agents, brokers and tokenization platform providers, including SLAs and KPIs.
- Partner closely with Investment Management, Risk, Compliance, Legal and Technology to support the fund's launch and ongoing operations.
Governance, Controls & Regulatory (ADGM/FSRA)
- Design and implement the fund operations framework and control environment for a newly-licensed Fund Management vertical.
- Ensure compliance with ADGM/FSRA Fund Rules; act as operational point of contact for FSRA queries and inspections.
- Support internal and external audits - including those specific to blockchain/tokenization
- Build and lead the operations function for the new vertical from inception, including hiring, systems selection and process design.
- Drive automation and straight-through processing, and provide senior management and the board with operational insights and recommendations.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or a related field; a relevant professional qualification (CFA, ACCA, CPA, IMC or equivalent) is an advantage.
- 10–12 years of relevant experience in fund operations, fund administration or asset/investment management, including hands-on experience in the funds business
- Experience running the operations of a tokenized fund or digital securities product is strongly preferred, including token issuance/redemption, on-chain/off-chain reconciliation and digital asset custody arrangements.
- Demonstrated track record managing NAV calculations and validation for an open-ended, publicly-traded fund.
- Experience managing external fund administrators, custodians (including digital asset custodians), transfer agents and technology/tokenization platform providers.
- Experience designing operational frameworks, controls, policies and procedures, ideally within a newly-licensed or start-up regulated entity.
- Sound working knowledge of ADGM/FSRA regulatory requirements for fund managers and digital securities; prior experience within an ADGM, DIFC or other regulated fund-management environment is strongly preferred.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills, with the gravitas to engage confidently with regulators, boards and service providers; comfortable building infrastructure and processes from the ground up.
