Key Responsibilities
- Manage post-trade activities across investment products, ensuring transactions are processed accurately and within required timelines.
- Oversee fund accounting and DPM accounting activities to support accurate valuation, reconciliation, reporting, and operational control.
- Maintain data accuracy and operational integrity across funds, discretionary portfolio management products, and middle office systems.
- Ensure fund administration processes, trading restrictions, corporate actions, reconciliations, tax processing, fee processing, and client reporting are executed in a compliant and timely manner.
- Coordinate with external providers including custodians, fund accountants, registrars, brokers, and other service partners to support seamless portfolio operations.
- Work closely with internal investment, compliance, finance, operations, and reporting teams to resolve issues and maintain process continuity.
- Monitor post-trade and middle office systems to ensure records, updates, and transaction data remain complete and accurate.
- Support regulatory reporting and financial reporting by gathering, validating, formatting, and submitting required operational data to compliance and finance teams.
- Review trade execution support processes and ensure proper coordination between front office, brokers, custodians, and downstream operational teams.
- Implement and monitor trading restrictions to ensure portfolios remain aligned with mandate rules, compliance requirements, and investment controls.
- Support corporate action processing by coordinating data, instructions, deadlines, entitlements, and reconciliation requirements.
- Prepare and review client reporting inputs to ensure accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery.
- Identify process gaps, manual workarounds, control weaknesses, or operational inefficiencies and recommend practical improvements.
- Support automation initiatives that reduce manual processing, improve reporting reliability, and strengthen operational scalability.
- Maintain full documentation of workflows, exception processes, control points, ownership lines, and escalation routes.
- Ensure operational processes remain aligned with governance expectations, internal controls, and FAB Asset Management values.
- Track exceptions, unresolved items, reconciliation breaks, and provider-related issues until complete resolution.
- Contribute to a strong control culture by maintaining accurate evidence, clear documentation, and timely follow-up across investment operations.
Ideal Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Banking, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline.
- 10-15 years of experience in investment operations, fund operations, fund accounting, middle office, asset management operations, or portfolio administration.
- Strong working knowledge of fund accounting, DPM accounting, post-trade processing, reconciliations, client reporting, and operational controls.
- Experience coordinating with custodians, fund accountants, brokers, registrars, administrators, compliance teams, finance teams, and investment professionals.
- Good understanding of trading restrictions, trade execution workflows, corporate actions, tax processing, fee processing, and reporting requirements.
- Ability to maintain accurate investment product data and ensure system records remain complete, current, and reliable.
- Strong understanding of operational risk, governance adherence, exception handling, documentation standards, and control point maintenance.
- Experience supporting regulatory and financial reporting through accurate data preparation and coordination with control teams.
- Ability to review processes, identify inefficiencies, reduce manual workarounds, and support automation or workflow improvement.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to work across internal teams and third-party providers.
