Job summary

Aspire Technology in Dubai seeks a Business Development Director – Defence Autonomy to drive growth across the Middle East. You will own opportunities in mission autonomy, unmanned systems and human-machine teaming, engaging with military customers, government stakeholders and industry partners.

You will work with the VP Sales to lead engagements, develop strategic accounts, and translate customer needs into commercial opportunities, while navigating defence procurement and regional market

Qualifications

• Operational military background, ideally at Staff Officer level.
• Experience or exposure to unmanned systems, ISR or C2 environments.
• Established Middle East defence network.
• Understanding of defence autonomy and software-defined capabilities.
• Strong relationship-building, consultative selling and commercial negotiation skills.
• Ability to engage with operational military stakeholders and procurement decision-makers.
• Knowledge of Middle East business culture and defence procurement environments.
• Willingness to travel across the region.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant discipline.

Responsibilities

• Drive business development and sales growth across the Middle East to meet targets.
• Identify opportunities for autonomy software across unmanned programmes.
• Build relationships with armed forces, government agencies, defence manufacturers and partners.
• Develop account plans, capture strategies and regional initiatives.
• Lead customer meetings, capability briefings, product demonstrations and negotiations.
• Understand customer requirements and procurement processes.
• Position capabilities including mission planning, autonomy, swarming and C2 integration.
• Collaborate with product/engineering to translate feedback into future capabilities.
• Support regional marketing and strengthen the defence ecosystem.
