Dubai Law Firm is seeking an experienced Corporate/M&A lawyer to lead and grow its Corporate practice in Dubai. The role targets an established Senior Associate or senior lawyer ready for a leadership position.

You will handle broad corporate, commercial and M&A matters, supervise junior lawyers, and collaborate with senior management across the firm.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Corporate/M&A lawyer to join a well-established regional law firm in Dubai and take a leading role in the continued development of its Corporate practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an established senior lawyer or a strong Senior Associate ready to step into a leadership position. The successful candidate will have genuine autonomy to help lead, shape and grow the Corporate practice, working across a broad range of corporate, commercial and M&A matters.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on a broad range of Corporate/M&A transactions, including acquisitions, disposals and investments.
• Advise on joint ventures, corporate structuring and reorganisations, shareholder arrangements and corporate governance matters.
• Draft, review and negotiate transaction documents and wider corporate/commercial agreements.
• Lead matters and manage transactions from initial instruction through to completion.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
• Contribute actively to business development and the continued growth of the Corporate practice.
• Supervise, mentor and support junior lawyers within the team.
• Work closely with senior management and other practice areas across the firm.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualified lawyer with a strong Corporate/M&A background. Ideally UK/England & Wales qualified, although lawyers with other recognised European or common-law qualifications may be considered. Ideally operating at Senior Associate level or above, with the experience and maturity to take on a leadership role. Strong private-practice experience in M&A and general corporate transactions. Demonstrable leadership experience or clear potential to lead and develop a team. Strong client relationship and business development capabilities. UAE/GCC experience would be advantageous but is not essential. Candidates currently overseas and genuinely interested in relocating to Dubai may also be considered. Excellent written and spoken English.
