Job summary

Tanqeeb in the United Arab Emirates seeks a senior Editorial Lead to head the Arabic editorial team, delivering accurate, timely, and engaging news across digital platforms. You will oversee content creation from ideation to publication, ensuring linguistic, editorial, legal, and ethical standards.

You will coordinate with English editorial, Design, Multimedia, Social Media, and Technology teams to adapt content, monitor performance, and guide freelancers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 95% deadline compliance for content delivery and breaking news coverage.
• Maintain a post-publication error rate below 1%.
• Full compliance with editorial and legal policies.
• Achieve targeted readership and audience engagement across Arabic digital platforms.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily publishing plans, breaking news coverage, and analytical reports for the Arabic platform.
• Assign and monitor tasks for Arabic editors, writers, reporters, proofreaders, and content creators.
• Review and approve content, headlines, SEO, visuals, and overall editorial quality.
• Ensure adherence to editorial policies, style guidelines, and legal/ethical standards.
• Coordinate closely with the English editorial, Design, Multimedia, Social Media, and Technology teams to share and adapt relevant content.
• Monitor team performance, provide guidance and training, and support freelancer recruitment when required.
• Participate in editorial planning meetings and contribute to weekly, monthly, and annual content calendars.
