Job summary

Wynn Al Marjan Island is seeking a dynamic Head Bartender - Chinese to join our Food & Beverage team at the UAE resort. Lead, mentor, and optimize bar operations to deliver exceptional guest experiences in a luxury setting.

You will manage inventory, craft cocktails, supervise styling and cleanliness, and ensure compliance with health and safety standards while delivering outstanding customer service.

Qualifications

• Minimum of secondary school education; higher credentials are a plus.
• 2–3 years bartending experience in luxury hotel, resort, or upscale venue.
• Proven leadership experience in managing bar teams and coordinating service operations.
• Strong knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, spirits, wines, and trends.
• Experience overseeing bar inventory, par levels, and ordering procedures.
• Proficient in maintaining bar presentation, hygiene, and safety standards.
• Excellent customer service focus and interpersonal skills.
• Fluency in English; other languages are a plus.
• Flexible with schedules; able to lead shifts as needed.
• Formal bartending certification or relevant hospitality training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow the established Cycle of Service to ensure excellent guest experiences.
• Lead, mentor, and motivate the bar team to deliver high-quality service.
• Oversee inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and stock rotation.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations and take corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Bar Manager to develop cocktails and update menus.
• Resolve guest complaints promptly to maintain satisfaction and reputation.
• Prepare beverages accurately according to recipes and standards.
• Assess guests’ needs and provide tailored recommendations.
• Serve food and drinks professionally while maintaining high standards.
• Maintain knowledge of all menu items and describe them confidently.
• Keep the bar area clean and welcoming, including bills and payments.
• Set up bar daily according to procedures and par levels.
• Ensure hygiene protocols are followed in all designated areas.
• Report any suspicious items to management and carry out duties as assigned.
