Job summary

Holiday Inn Dubai Science Park is seeking an experienced Bartender to join our guest-focused team. This role requires preparing cocktails and beverages to high standards while ensuring responsible service and safety.

You will work closely with restaurant staff to serve bar and lounge guests and maintain inventory and cash handling procedures. The ideal candidate has 1–2 years in hospitality bartending, strong English communication, and a commitment to guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Bartender in a hotel, restaurant, bar or lounge.
• Good knowledge of cocktail preparation, beverage service standards and responsible alcohol service.
• High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality or bartending certification is an advantage.
• Good English communication skills; additional languages are a plus.
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional, and guest-focused approach.
• Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and inventory control.
• Flexible to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare beverages requested by guests using established pouring standards and recipes; coordinate bar/lounge service with restaurant as needed.
• Monitor guest behavior and alcohol consumption; stop service when required and report incidents.
• Follow safety protocols and report hazards; maintain a clean, safe bar area.
• Handle guest complaints with service recovery guidelines.
• Set up bar with liquor, mixers, ice, garnishes, glassware and supplies; manage shift prep and restock as needed.
• Requisition supplies and manage liquor inventory; ensure liquor is secured during and after shifts.
• Balance cash and process payments accurately; close out cash drawer per procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and attractiveness of bars and seating areas; coordinate with other departments.
