Holiday Inn & Suites Dubai Science Park, is looking for a service oriented Food & Beverage – Bartender to join their extraordinary team!

Ideally located in the heart of Dubai Science Park, in the most sought after residential area of Dubai. Minutes away from mega malls, magnificent Jumeirah Beaches, world’s leading tourist attractions and Parks, auto drome and over 5 championship golf courses. The Holiday Inn & Suites at Dubai Science Park has 240 hotel rooms and suites and 84 one-bedroom apartments, anchor F&B offerings and an extensive 1026sqm cutting-edge meeting and events facilities.

Your day to day

• Prepare beverages requested by guests using established pouring standards and drink recipes to provide a consistent product to the guests and to control costs. Coordinate food service with restaurant(s) for bar/lounge guests if applicable
• Monitor guest behaviour and guest alcohol consumption to determine when alcohol service to the guest should cease; notify management of incidents involving excessive alcohol consumption or impaired condition of guests; check identification whenever the age of a guest requesting an alcoholic beverage service is questionable
• Follow established hotel safety protocols and procedures at all times. Immediately report any safety/service incident to the supervisor or manager on duty
• Take action to solve guest problems/complaints using appropriate service recovery guidelines
• Set up bar including all liquor, mixers, ice, garnishes, glassware and supplies. Perform pre- and post-shift work (empty/fill ice-bins, prepare garnishments, replenish/store snacks, etc.)
• Requisition all necessary supplies in line with hotel procedures and manage liquor inventory
• Ensure that all liquor is properly secured before, during, and at close of shift
• Obtain, count and secure bartender’s bank; receive cash and credit payments from customers; give accurate change and balance cash drawer at end of shift in line with hotel procedures
• Check bar and seating areas for cleanliness and attractiveness ensuring all standards are aligned to company and local legislative standards. Inspect all equipment and machinery for proper operation. Sweep and mop bar floor after shift. Wipe down counters, equipment, stools, chairs, tables, and other areas as required
• Work as part of a team and communicate with other departments as per hotel procedures to ensure excellent quality and service
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Use safe manual handling techniques, practice safe work habits following IHG Health, Safety and Environment policies, wear protective clothing provided where necessary and take a consultative role in assisting and maintaining a clean, tidy work area and a healthy, safe working environment.
• Maintain procedures to minimize our impact on the environment and prevent pollution.
• Report any health or safety hazards, faults, repairs, cleaning needs and accidents to your supervisor or the Manager on Duty and record on the appropriate Accident Report form immediately following accident.
• Ensure all equipment is kept in good working order and used only for the purpose for which it was intended. Report all broken or damaged departmental equipment to your supervisor and record on appropriate maintenance report form.
• Contribute to cost control through energy conservation, correct storage of all materials and use of equipment per operating standards and manufacturer’s specifications.

What We Need From You

• Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a Bartender in a hotel, restaurant, bar, or lounge.
• Good knowledge of cocktail preparation, beverage service standards, and responsible alcohol service.
• High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality or bartending certification is an advantage.
• Good English communication skills; additional languages are a plus.
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional, and guest-focused approach.
• Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and inventory control.
• Flexible to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
