Job summary

Aloft Hotels in Dubai is seeking a Group Coordinator/Hostess to meet guests before functions, make introductions, and ensure all banquet arrangements are set. You will read and analyze banquet event orders to gather guest information, determine setup, timeline, and special needs.

You will follow safety policies, greet guests, build positive relationships, and support the team to deliver outstanding service across events.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience.
• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.
• License or Certification: None

Responsibilities

• Meet group coordinator/host(ess) prior to functions, make introductions, and ensure that all arrangements are agreeable.
• Read and analyze banquet event order in order to gather guest information, determine proper set up, timeline, specific guest needs, buffets, action stations, etc.
• Respond to and fulfill any special banquet event arrangements and follow up to ensure compliance.
• Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; complete safety training and certifications.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests' service needs, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, and support team to reach common goals.
