Job summary

IHG Hotels & Resorts is seeking a proactive GRMS Technician for InterContinental Ras Al Khaimah Mina Al Arab Resort & Spa. You will install, operate, and maintain GRMS components and cabling to ensure reliable hotel technology performance.

Key tasks include safety compliance, prompt guest support, and maintaining system documentation. A Computer Science degree and strong communication skills are required to support hotel operations and guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Solid analytical skills demonstrated via spreadsheets.
• Strong knowledge of hotel technology principles and practices.
• Familiarity with organizational design models and decision-making framework.
• Effective presentation and interpersonal/consensus-building abilities.

Responsibilities

• Operates, maintains, and programs all GRMS components and cabling.
• Ensures safe work practices and health & safety compliance.
• Responds to guest requests promptly and professionally.
• Maintains GRMS equipment and servers; follows preventive maintenance routines.
• Keeps daily logbook of problems, solutions and activities.
• Maintains GRMS drawings and programming files for each room type.
• Completes tasks assigned by IT Director or delegate.
• Keeps health and safety documentation up to date.
