Job summary

IHG Hotels & Resorts in Ras Al Khaimah is seeking a proactive GRMS Technician to ensure GRMS systems are installed correctly, reliable, and secure.

You’ll maintain, program and troubleshoot GRMS components and cabling, follow safety procedures, and keep a daily log. This role supports energy efficiency and accurate equipment records within the InterContinental Ras Al Khaimah Mina Al Arab Resort & Spa.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science from a reputed institution.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and statistical skills demonstrated through previous experience with spreadsheets.
• Strong knowledge of hotel technology principles and practices.
• Familiarity with organization design models and decision-making framework.
• Effective presentation, communication, consulting and interpersonal/consensus-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensures all work follows safe work practices and procedures.
• Responds immediately to all work requests which concern Health and Safety.
• Responds to guest requests promptly in a professional and courteous manner.
• Operates, maintains, and programs all GRMS components and cabling.
• Ensures the optimum performance of all GRMS equipment and servers by following the preventive maintenance routine.
• Evaluates and appropriately respond to equipment usage and energy efficiency.
• Completes all work orders with due diligence.
• Maintains a daily logbook highlighting problems, solutions, and activities.
• Maintain GRMS shop drawings and programming files for each room type.
• Maintain equipment catalogue and tagging directories.
• Completes tasks as assigned by the IT Director or its delegate.
• Maintains health and safety documentation and records for the assigned area.
• Reports and documents potential safety hazards.
• Participates as directed in the emergency response team.
