Role Context

The Graduate Project Manager - Building Engineering will develop practical project management capability through structured assignments, formal learning, and direct mentoring from experienced professionals. Working under the guidance of senior project and program managers, the graduate will support smaller projects or defined phases of larger assignments while learning how commercial, technical, scheduling, resource, and stakeholder considerations influence successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the management of smaller or less complex projects under senior project management supervision.
• Assist with defined phases of larger building engineering and multidisciplinary project assignments.
• Coordinate project activities involving clients, consultants, internal specialists, and delivery teams.
• Track agreed actions, milestones, resources, priorities, and project documentation.
• Identify potential project issues or improvement opportunities before they affect delivery.
• Gather relevant information, assess available options, and support development of practical solutions.
• Assist senior managers in evaluating project risks, constraints, and emerging requirements.
• Make informed recommendations within assigned areas of responsibility while considering project impacts.
• Support resource planning and coordination to help project teams meet agreed objectives.
• Prepare project updates, presentations, meeting information, trackers, and management documentation.
• Participate in client and stakeholder meetings and follow up agreed actions.
• Maintain organized records supporting project governance and management reporting.
• Work with architecture, engineering, construction, planning, commercial, and quantity surveying professionals.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying more efficient approaches to project coordination and delivery.
• Build project management capability through structured training, practical assignments, and one-on-one mentoring.
