Job summary

AL Marwan General Contracting Company seeks a Grade Checker to verify levels, grades, elevations, slopes, and alignments for road and infrastructure projects in the UAE. You will collaborate with Surveyors, Engineers, and Foremen to ensure drawings and specs are followed.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of relevant experience in road and civil construction, with proficiency in leveling instruments and surveying equipment. UAE/GCC project exposure is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience as a Grade Checker
• Experience in road, infrastructure, earthworks, and civil construction projects
• Good knowledge of levels, elevations, slopes, gradients, and road formation
• Ability to read and understand civil/road drawings
• Familiarity with leveling instruments and basic surveying equipment
• Good communication and coordination skills

Responsibilities

• Check and maintain required levels, grades, slopes, and elevations as per project specifications.
• Read and understand survey drawings, plans, and technical specifications.
• Work closely with Surveyors, Foremen, and Site Engineers to ensure correct levels and grades.
• Check formation levels, subgrade, road levels, drainage works, and other civil works.
• Monitor grading and excavation activities and ensure work is carried out according to approved drawings.
• Use measuring and leveling tools to verify required elevations and gradients.
• Identify and report any discrepancies in levels or grades to the concerned supervisor.
• Ensure work is completed accurately and according to project requirements.
• Follow all company HSE and safety procedures at the worksite.

Responsible for checking and maintaining levels, grades, elevations, slopes, and alignment for road and infrastructure projects. The Grade Checker works closely with Surveyors, Engineers, and Foremen to ensure construction activities are carried out accurately according to approved drawings, specifications, and required tolerances. Experience in road works, earthworks, excavation, subgrade, drainage, and infrastructure projects is preferred.
