Job summary

AL Marwan Group is seeking an experienced QA/QC Engineer to oversee quality standards across heavy civil and infrastructure projects in the UAE. You will ensure compliance with UAE regulations and international standards, coordinating with consultants, clients and authorities to deliver projects that meet contractual requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering required.
• 3+ years QA/QC experience in heavy civil and infrastructure projects.
• Proven UAE experience with roads, bridges and infrastructure works.
• Strong knowledge of UAE authority requirements and international standards (AASHTO, ASTM, ACI, BS EN).
• ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor certification is an advantage.
• Excellent analytical, reporting and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Google Workspace and familiarity with project management/document control systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review and implement Project Quality Plans (PQP) and ITPs.
• Conduct daily inspections of earthworks, asphalt paving, concrete structures, excavations and utilities.
• Review and approve method statements, submittals and lab reports.
• Identify quality issues, issue NCRs and monitor corrective actions.
• Coordinate and oversee testing of soil, concrete, asphalt, steel and other materials.
• Conduct internal quality audits and support ISO 9001 compliance.
• Liaise with consultants, clients and regulatory authorities during inspections.
• Ensure compliance with contract specs, international standards and UAE requirements.
• Prepare quality reports and maintain project documentation.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across project quality processes.

Job Summary

The role requires strong expertise in quality assurance, compliance with UAE regulations and international standards, and the ability to coordinate effectively with project stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

The key duties and responsibilities of the QA/QC Engineer include, but are not limited to:

• Develop, review, and implement Project Quality Plans (PQP) and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)

• Conduct daily inspections of earthworks, asphalt paving, concrete structures, excavations, and utility installations

• Review and approve Method Statements, Material Submittals, and laboratory test reports

• Identify quality issues, issue NCRs, and monitor corrective and preventive actions

• Coordinate and oversee testing of soil, concrete, asphalt, steel, and other construction materials

• Conduct internal quality audits and support ISO 9001 compliance requirements

• Liaise with consultants, clients, and regulatory authorities during inspections

• Ensure all construction activities comply with contract specifications, international standards, and UAE authority requirements

• Prepare quality reports and maintain accurate project documentation

• Support continuous improvement initiatives across project quality processes

Required Skills & Qualifications
