Job summary

Al Marwan Group in the UAE seeks a Grade Checker to verify levels, grades, elevations, slopes, and alignment on road and infrastructure projects. You will work with Surveyors, Engineers and Foremen to ensure drawings and specs are followed, with emphasis on earthworks, drainage, and subgrade tasks.

Candidates should have at least 3 years of relevant experience and familiarity with leveling instruments; UAE/GCC project exposure is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience as a Grade Checker.
• Experience in road, infrastructure, earthworks, and civil construction projects.
• Ability to read and understand civil/road drawings.
• Familiarity with leveling instruments and basic surveying equipment.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Candidates with UAE/GCC project experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Check and maintain required levels, grades, slopes, and elevations as per project specifications.
• Read and understand survey drawings, plans, and technical specifications.
• Work closely with Surveyors, Foremen, and Site Engineers to ensure correct levels and grades.
• Check formation levels, subgrade, road levels, drainage works, and other civil works.
• Monitor grading and excavation activities and ensure work is carried out according to approved drawings.
• Use measuring and leveling tools to verify required elevations and gradients.
• Identify and report any discrepancies in levels or grades to the concerned supervisor.
• Ensure work is completed accurately and according to project requirements.
• Follow all company HSE and safety procedures at the worksite.

Experience in road works, earthworks, excavation, subgrade, drainage, and infrastructure projects is preferred.
