Job summary

HSBC in the United Arab Emirates seeks a detail-oriented team member to support the Global Trade Solutions Document Management Team. The role is split roughly 75% back-office document management and 25% customer-facing GTS counter support, adapting to business needs.

You will process trade documents, safeguard sensitive materials, and ensure compliance with policies, training, and regulatory requirements, while delivering quality customer service.

Qualifications

• Graduation degree is essential for obtaining a work permit.
• If your university certificate is from outside the UAE, up-to-date attestations and equivalency are mandatory.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Good command of English (spoken and written).
• Self-motivated, flexible and willing to take on additional responsibilities.
• General knowledge of trade products.
• Previous customer service or banking experience is preferred but not essential.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Process, scan and dispatch trade documents accurately and within agreed service standards.
• Support daily Document Management Team operations and maintain an organised workspace.
• Safeguard bank property, customer documents and controlled stationery.
• Follow trade policies, procedures, internal controls and regulatory requirements.
• Protect customer information and elevate security concerns when needed.
• Work with GTS teams and internal stakeholders to maintain high service standards.
• Provide customer-facing support at the GTS counter and respond to queries.
• Attend training and support colleagues during absences.
