Job summary

Tether is seeking a Head of Licensing and Regulatory Authorisations to lead the global licensing strategy across multiple regions and to manage a distributed regulatory affairs team. The role requires deep multi-jurisdictional licensing expertise and strong stakeholder management.

You will collaborate with legal, compliance, product, and executive leadership to secure regulatory approvals, adapt to shifting regimes, and enable sustainable market expansion across geographies.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in regulatory licensing and authorisations, regulatory affairs, compliance, or related fields.
• Proven track record managing complex regulatory authorisation across multiple regions.
• Strong understanding of diverse regulatory frameworks and supervisory expectations globally.
• Experience leading regional or matrixed teams is highly preferred.
• Exceptional cross-regional coordination and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Strong project management and execution discipline.

Responsibilities

• Design a unified global licensing strategy with regional alignment.
• Lead and mentor the global regulatory and licensing team.
• Coordinate with regional teams to meet jurisdictional authorisation obligations.
• Drive regulatory engagements with regulators and internal leadership.
• Ensure governance, reporting, and operational readiness for authorisation requirements.
• Provide strategic recommendations on market prioritisation and regulatory risk.
