nbsp The General Manager Streit Marine is responsible for leading and managing the Marine Division overseeing all aspects of business operations, sales, engineering, production, project execution and strategic growth. The role requires strong commercial and operational leadership to drive profitability, expand market presence and ensure the successful delivery of high-quality marine products and services.
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute the strategic business plan for the Marine Division in line with the Group's objectives. Identify new business opportunities, market trends and customer requirements to expand regional and international market share. Drive sustainable business growth through innovation, strategic partnerships and operational excellence.
Operational Management
- Oversee all daily operations including sales, engineering, procurement, production, project management, quality assurance and after-sales support. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and in accordance with customer specifications. Monitor operational KPIs and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Business Development Sales
- Develop and implement sales and business development strategies to increase revenue and profitability. Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, government entities, distributors and strategic partners. Lead contract negotiations for major marine projects and commercial agreements.
Engineering Product Development
- Collaborate with Engineering and R D teams to develop innovative marine products and customized customer solutions. Ensure all products comply with applicable marine regulations, classification society requirements and international quality standards. Promote continuous product improvement through customer feedback and market intelligence.
Financial Management
- Prepare and manage the annual operating budget for the Marine Division. Monitor financial performance, profitability and cost controls. Provide regular business performance reports, forecasts and strategic recommendations to senior management.
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing multidisciplinary team. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation and customer focus. Conduct performance evaluations and identify training and succession planning opportunities.
Compliance Quality Assurance
- Ensure compliance with all applicable maritime regulations, safety requirements, environmental standards and company policies. Maintain high standards of quality, health, safety and environmental (QHSE) performance. Implement effective risk management strategies to minimize operational and commercial risks.
- Bachelor's Degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration or a related discipline.
- Master’s Degree (MBA or equivalent) is preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the marine, shipbuilding, defense, or maritime industry, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven experience in P&L management, strategic planning, project delivery, and business development.
