Freesia Electro Mechanical, part of Azizi Group, seeks an accomplished MEP General Manager to lead MEP operations and drive successful delivery of large-scale electromechanical projects across the UAE.

Reporting to the CEO, the role focuses on operational excellence, project profitability, client satisfaction, and compliance with quality, contractual, and regulatory requirements. Fluency in English is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is required.
• PMP, MBA or Construction Management certifications will be advantageous.
• 25+ years of progressive experience in construction/MEP preferred.

We are seeking an accomplished MEP General Manager to lead our MEP business operations and drive the successful delivery of large-scale electromechanical projects across our portfolio. Reporting directly to the CEO, the successful individual will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence, project profitability, client satisfaction, and compliance with all quality, contractual, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage overall MEP business operations and project execution across multiple projects.
• Develop and implement business strategies, operational plans, and company objectives to achieve sustainable growth.
• Ensure projects are delivered within approved schedules, budgets, quality standards, and contractual requirements.
• Monitor project performance, profitability, cash flow, and resource utilization to maximize operational efficiency.
• Oversee engineering, procurement, construction, QA/QC, HSE, commercial, and project management activities.
• Manage relationships with clients, consultants, suppliers, subcontractors, and government authorities.
• Review major project risks, contractual issues, claims, variations, and critical operational matters, ensuring timely resolution.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, ISO management systems, and all applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Lead, mentor, and evaluate department heads and project management teams, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Drive business growth, operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide program planning capabilities, including interface management and risk analysis.
• Establish and monitor program and project control KPIs to measure performance and delivery success.
• Develop action and recovery plans to support project and program delivery within committed timelines.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Additional qualifications such as PMP, MBA, or Construction Management certifications will be an advantage.
• 20 to 25 years of progressive experience within the Construction and Electromechanical industry.
• Proven experience leading large-scale MEP projects and business operations in a senior management capacity.
• Strong understanding of financial management, commercial operations, contracts, and project controls.
• Comprehensive knowledge of MEP project delivery, engineering practices, quality systems, and HSE standards.
• Demonstrated capability in strategic leadership, business management, risk management, and decision-making.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, negotiation, and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and industry-related systems.
• Valid UAE driving license preferred.
• Fluency in English is required.
